Vegas Balloon Rides is the premier hot air balloon operator in the Las Vegas Valley. Sunrise flights depart daily, weather permitting, and take you on the adventure of a lifetime with serene and tranquil views of the Mojave Desert. Experience Western Nevada and Eastern California from soaring heights of 10,000 feet and more!
Passengers will meet their pilot and crew approximately 90 minutes prior to sunrise. While that does make for an early morning, launching in a hot air balloon while the morning sun simultaneously continues to make its way above the peaks of the desert mountains, is an experience like none other!
Guests will be transported from the Vegas Balloon Rides check-in office to the launch field in Pahrump, just an hour west of the Las Vegas Strip. During your flight, which lasts approximately 45-60 minutes, you will have a spectacular birds eye view of the Spring and Nopah Mountain Ranges, expansive and breathtaking views of Death Valley, and far-reaching sights into Eastern California. As you drift silently and peacefully over the countryside, you can watch for desert wildlife, take that all-important selfie, and talk with envious onlookers down below. Upon landing, passengers participate in a traditional Champagne toast, hear the story of how hot air ballooning began, and how it led to modern day aviation as we know it.
Hot air ballooning is truly a bucket list item, and something you must do during your visit to Las Vegas. Get away from the hustle and bustle of the Strip and join us on a journey that will simply take your breath away!
Please note: Hot Air Ballooning is weather dependent and Vegas Balloon Rides operates in the cool Nevada winters as well as the dry, hot summers. Drink water and wear sunscreen! Sunglasses and hats are also strongly recommended. While we operate in the early morning hours when the temperatures are the coolest and the ambient air is most stable, please dress according to the weather conditions outside at the time of flight, but do remember, temperatures may change significantly during flight. We recommend you dress in layers as you will be outdoors the majority of the time. You will be walking around in the rough, Nevada desert landscape. Open-toed shoes, flip flops, heels/stilettos, and sandals are discouraged. Instead, dress like you are going hiking! You will need the agility and strength to be able to safely climb into and out of the basket; therefore, we do not recommend anyone wear a dress or skirt for their flight. In addition to this, the industrial fans we use to begin cool-packing (inflating) our balloons will draw in the air around them along with any loose articles nearby. This includes clothing so, for your safety and the safety of those around you, be sure to stand clear of the fans at all times.
